Akila Protective Services and Akila Tactical & Concealed are owned and operated by Dean Gunter, a retired US Air Force veteran with more than thirty (30) years in Law Enforcement and Security. Dean is devoted to his church, his family, and the protection and security of others.

Akila Tactical & Concealed (ATC) is a federally licensed Class I firearms dealer with access to a large assortment of firearms; to include Colt, Rock River Arms, Wilson Combat, Glock, S&W, Ruger, Sig Sauer, Springfield and others.
Akila Protective Services
After hanging up his Law Enforcement gun belt, Dean established Akila Protective Services (APS) in 2017 in order to provide private investigative and security services to those in need of protection. Akila Protective Services provides security services primarily to school districts, companies, houses of worship and individuals. We are CLEET certified and insured to provide all levels of armed and unarmed security. APS is also licensed as a Phase I, II, III, IV and V Training Facility. We have our own “state of the art” classroom and an outdoor gun range to provide all levels of training.
